Troy raised a search fund way back in 1998!  He bought some companies, sold some companies, made some money and lost some money.  Through all of this, Troy benefited greatly from having supportive investors in his corner and he was determined to one day support young entrepreneurs in the same way.  In 2010, Troy and his brother founded the predecessor business to Summit Vehicle Solutions.  Over the 14 years they owned it, the business grew at a 45% CAGR and produced an MOIC of over 1,400x.  In addition to search fund investing, Troy co-founded and sits on the boards of several other successful businesses including a real estate investment company, an online vehicle auction platform and the industry leading online parking permit company.

Troy Graduated from Princeton University with a Bachelor of Arts and also holds a Juris Doctorate degree from Stanford University.  Troy loves exploring Colorado’s mountains (Jeeping, hiking and rock climbing) and has traveled extensively.  He has and currently served on the board of numbers for-profit and nonprofit organizations.  He has and currently serves on the boards of a number of for-profit and non-profit organizations.  He has been married to Crystal for three decades and they have four children who they spend as much time as they can with.
